Elementary or High School Teacher

Required Spiritual Qualities:

• Mission, vision, doctrines, and philosophy are in alignment with Agape Christian School

• Ability to articulate a clear and vibrant Christian testimony

• Demonstrates a desire for spiritual growth as evidence by prayer life, Bible study, and spiritual outreach to others

• Be an image bearer of Christ in attitude, speech, and actions both on and off campus

• Maintain active participation in a local body of believers

 

Required Professional Qualities:

• Holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary/Secondary Education or is in pursuit of a degree.

• High level of computer literacy, proficient in word processing, spreadsheets, emailing, and Google drive.

• Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication skills.

• Utilizes critical thinking and problem solving skills.

• Problem Solving and conflict resolution skills.

 

Responsibilities:

• Cooperates with the Board and administration in implementing all policies and procedures as listed in the Employee Handbook

• Teach classes assigned following prescribed scope and sequence.

• Integrate biblical worldview in throughout curriculum and activities.

• Maintain regular, accurate attendance and grade records.

• Keep students, parents, and administration informed of progress or deficiencies.

• Use multiple strategies to deliver instruction that meets the needs of learners.

• Develop trusting relationships with student in order to create a safe, positive, and productive learning environment.

• Solicits feedback from students, teachers, and administration to self-reflect on their own teaching and set goals for improvement.

• Partners with parents through effective, consistent communication.

• Serve as a collaborative, productive team member who participates in department meetings and other events that enhance the experience for faculty and students at Agape Christian School.
